Overview
The Toro cheerleading squad from Rancho Carne High School in San Diego has got spirit, spunk, sass and a killer routine that’s sure to land them the national championship trophy for the sixth year in a row. But for newly-elected team captain Torrance, the Toros’ road to total cheer glory takes a shady turn when she discovers that their perfectly-choreographed routines were in fact stolen.

Viewing Notes
Showing at the Alamo for the 25th Anniversary! I just watched it on it’s release date of 8/25 a few weeks ago - totally did not expect Alamo to be playing it. Fun to see on the big screen and there was a good turn out - almost a full theater.

In total agreement with Jay’s comments from 5 years ago - the demeaning jokes have not aged well. Fat shaming and gay bashing is so cringe!
Love the punk music highlights sprinkled into the film.
