Viewing Notes

Another of those films I caught piecemeal but wish I hadn’t as I’m sure the impact would have been greater.  This is an interesting look albeit a dramatized one and I’m sure written to put Disney in a more flattering light than in reality, but we get to see some of the things that went into getting Disney’s Mary Poppins put into actual production back in the 60s as well as the events in the author’s life that inspired some of the things in the book and eventually the film.  I do have to say Tom Hanks was great in this, but Emma Thompson was really what the film was about and she was amazing in every scene she was in.
