When a bumbling pair of employees at a medical supply warehouse accidentally release a deadly gas into the air, the vapors cause the dead to re-animate as they go on a rampage seeking their favorite food: brains! While I think Shaun of the Dead is a great zombie horror/comedy, this film really set the bar back in the 80s. The horror is really well done, and the comedy is spot on. The zombies in this film are especially creepy considering they can still think and talk and just nailing them in their brain won’t kill them. The practical effects are amazing and still very much hold up but I’m betting a lot of that has to do with really well executed editing. Still one of my favorites after all these years.
