A single mother, plagued by the violent death of her husband, battles with her son’s fear of a monster lurking in the house, but soon discovers a sinister presence all around her. There’s some interesting subtext throughout this about facing and dealing with loss. On top of that there’s this great atmosphere about the whole film that builds up on this anxious and foreboding feeling that I love.
