My dip into the Wes Craven pool continues. Dubbed New Nightmare, this would end up being the last stand-alone Freddy film and Wes does some interesting things with the bad man and the claws here that doesn’t do anything to dampen what came before and instead builds on it in a great way. While some fo the effects and acting haven’t aged all that well and the score feels distinctly 80s in a 90s film trying to emulate the 80s kind of way, it’s still pretty good and Wes himself is actually in the film which is a nice bonus.
