Viewing Notes

The marketing campaign for John Carter was sorely botched by Disney. What I saw on the screen was a fantastic otherworldly fun & action-packed film.

It’s a shame that the movie won’t come away this weekend a big hit, however I’m sure that word-of-mouth is going to help John Carter stick around.

Eye-popping special effects, a well-written script, and a sense of fun and adventure help elevate John Carter above some of the more generic aspects of the story. When it’s all said and done the spectacle is well worth the wait and I really hope that Andrew Stanton is able to complete this trilogy.

John Carter is what the Star Wars prequels should’ve been. In fact I don’t think I’ll ever watch the Star Wars prequels ever again after this.
