The OG Star Trek crew gets the send-off they deserve after 2 sub par outings to the theater.
For some reason Klingons are no longer fierce savages, but intellectual creatures who spout off Shakespeare (he’s even been translated to Klingon). Kirk and crew are accused of assassination and they race against the clock to clear Kirk’s name, solve a mystery and prevent yet another assassination. It’s a plot we’ve all seen before, but here it works.
The lame humor is no longer plaguing the script and everyone here is at the top of their game. Plus, the anti-gravity assassination scene is pretty damn awesome.
