Viewing Notes

Been looking forward to this one for my 90s rewatch project. Can’t recall the last time I viewed this but it was in the 90s I’m sure. Saw it a few times because I enjoyed it so much, more than the other ST feature films. Also I think this is the first ST film I saw on the big screen when I was in college (took Greg to see it).

Viewing it now is interesting. Forgot this was the one with Kim Cattrall, who is gorgeous as a vulcan. Also Iman is positively glowing. I love how they continue to assemble many of the OS actors for this but added people like Kurtwood Smith and Chris Plummer. What I love the most is is less feature film and more like an extended episode and murder mystery.

One thing I do wish they had done was more on location shoots rather than soundstage sets. So much of it looks fake especially the snow/winter scenes when you can’t see any breath despite them being in sub-zero temps. It’s the little things.
