Viewing Notes

It’s a shame this had to be the first Next Generation film. Captain Kirk is shoehorned into the story and because of that, the story is extremely splintered. Also, having TNG crew introduced in the Holodeck is very lame and not the fitting big screen intro they deserve.

At least Generations serves it’s purpose and passes the baton to Captain Jean-Luc Picard and crew. It’s not the rousing Sci-Fi adventure we had hoped for, but in all respects it’s fun to see both captains even if the story is silly.

The Blu Ray quality is also disappointing. Muddled and dark, it’s an improvement over the DVD, but not as crisp and eye popping as it should be.
