Viewing Notes

Geez been ages since I’ve seen this one. Honestly not sure I’ve seen this since I saw it on release, twice in fact. I really loved this move back then probably because I was such a fan of the TNG series. Viewing this movie now it’s a bit small in it’s plotting with a story that could’ve been done in the series. It’s the old cast that elevates it with Shatner really the highlight here, both in the opening sequence and with Picard later. The rest is good.

It is a tad shocking to view that battle with the Warbird. To see the Federation humans having such glee over the killing of Klingons is weird given the mission of peace. Malcolm McDowell seems wasted here.

I can’t believe I went to see this twice in theater.
