Viewing Notes
Tom Savini’s remake of George Romero’s Night Of The Living Dead is the prime example of a remake done right. Romero rewrote his own script, Tony Todd was cast in the lead and Patricia Tallman cast as an ass-kicking Barbara.
Savini’s direction is damned impressive and his zombie effects are immaculate. I’m surprised he hasn’t directed a feature length film since.
