Expiring on Instawatch so had to view. This is a well made flick by Savini and Romero. If the original NOTLD did not exist this would probably receive more acclaim. As it is it’s almost like why remake a classic despite how good it is?
Since this movie is based off the source material (Romero’s original story and Romero wrote the screenplay for this) it’s slightly different with Barbara as the hero. The ending is a lot different. For all the zombie films I’ve seen this one is probably the biggest influence on The Walking Dead (assuming any of the films were influences, although how could they not be?). Especially the ending sequences which feel very much like The Walking Dead with how the zombies are treated by the humans.
