Overview

Young teenager Sam Witwicky becomes involved in the ancient struggle between two extraterrestrial factions of transforming robots – the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. Sam holds the clue to unimaginable power and the Decepticons will stop at nothing to retrieve it.

Oh Michael Bay. Why do I love your movies no matter how dumb?

With help from Steven Spielberg, TRANSFORMERS wasn’t the train wreck we all though it would be (that came 2 years later). In fact, it was probably one of Bay’s better films.

That said, it’s not without glaring problems. TRANSFORMERS is a frustrating mess during the 2nd act, but for the most part, I always have a good time with this movie.

From the action to the incredible special effects, it’s hard to trash Michael Bay too much here.
