Watching The Quiet Earth after having seen films like I Am Legend or even 28 Days Later is a bit surreal. I now know that both those films directly lifted scenes from The Quiet Earth.
As a whole, The Quiet Earth is a bit disjointed, but it still is a fascinating look being alone in a deserted world. Like most of these types of movies, once a third character gets introduced, the story kind of goes downhill. But, I still think The Quiet Earth is a must see for any Science Fiction fan.
