Viewing Notes

James Cameron should have released Avatar with the original ending that is shown here in the Extended Cut.  It does a better job of showing the audience who Jake Sully actually is and what is actually at stake with certain plot developments.  It’s amazing what 16 minutes will do to improve a film, but Avatar: The Extended Cut is the only version of the film I’d recommend.

Yes, it’s still a bit overlong and cliched, but Avatar is such a spectacle, it’s importance can’t be ignored.
