As the credits rolled on Pascal Laugier‘s horror film Martyrs, I sat there stunned. What the hell did I just watch? How can I explain this film to anyone? All I can say is Martyrs is the most brutal, shocking, bloody, depraved, offensive, tense film I’ve ever seen. It’s also one of the most beautiful works of art I’ve ever seen.
