Attended a pretty full screening of this at Sie Film Center, sponsored by MSU and Dphi with an intro before and a Q&A after by visiting professor Jean-Michel Rabaté from the University of Pennsylvania. For once, most of the questions from the audience were short, thoughtful and provoked insightful responses from the professor.
The crowd was a pretty good mix of students and horror nerds, with a few old timers like myself to even things out.
Even though this film is a part of the French New Extremity horror movement, it’s one of the few horror movies that manages to transcend horror without making any concessions.
