Viewing Notes

Some day I’ll learn to not watch Jean Rollin movies. Today was not that day. Zombie Lake is pretty terrible, and I actually like a lot of ‘bad’ movies.

Near the beginning of the film there is an interior shot that plainly shows a bunch of electrical cords on the floor, obviously being used for lighting. In the same shot you can clearly see the cameraman in a mirror on the opposite wall.

During a scene in the local tavern, one of the female crowd extras keeps stifling laughter at the ridiculous scene that she’s taking part in, and even glances up at the camera at one point.

These gaffs, combined with the horrible zombie masks, terrible acting and barest thread of a plot, form a truly terrible movie.
