I had mixed feelings on this. I really liked the visuals and the camera work in many of the scenes but taken on the whole, the pieces just didn’t fall into place to make a good, coherent movie.
I’m not a fan of Sherie Moon Zombie as an actress. She does OK here, but just cannot pull of a very wide range of emotions. Because of that I never got very invested in her character, which is probably the largest failing of the movie as a whole. You need a character to sympathize with so that you’re emotionally involved in the outcome. I just didn’t get that here.
There were only six people, including me, in the theater on a Saturday so I doubt it’s going to do well.
