My ninth film of the festival and fourth of the day, Henge is a great body horror film from Japan that’ll likely never see the light of day here in the U.S. given that it was released back in 2011 in Japan.
I really enjoyed the first two-thirds of the movie a lot, which makes up for the odd Miike-like direction the ending goes off in. The end isn’t terrible but didn’t feel like it fit in with the rest of the movie.
Despite that, it’s still easily worth a watch if you get the opportunity.
