My second favorite film of the festival and my first film on day three was a sci-fi film rather than horror, though it had some horrific elements in it. This lithuanian/French/Belgian co-production was really a hard science film with great visuals and a compelling story.
It’s a slower, more deliberate film, which might turn some people off but absolutely had me enthralled. Originally I had this slated as my first movie of the fest but switched things around to accommodate more films. I’m really glad I did because it felt like a fitting way to start the third and final day of the fest. I’ll definitely get this on Blu-ray when it comes out.
