Perhaps the best acting Mel Gibson has done in forever. An uncompromisingly violent and brutal movie. I absolutely loved it. Ray Winstone also turns in a great performance.
I may have to seek out the 1985 BBC mini series that this is based on.
Do yourself a favor and watch this movie. Criminally neglected in 2010, probably due to Gibson’s off-screen, real-life antics.
