Viewing Notes

Part of the Hammer Icons of Suspense series. This is a bizarre little crime mystery which lays out everything in the nicely shot opening scene.

After that, the movie moves along very slowly, focusing on a young girl’s futile attempts to convince the adults around her that her stepfather is a murderer.

The payoff is in the final 20 minutes of the film, as the tables are turned.

Not a great film, but if you stick with it, it is an enjoyable watch.
