After having missed this at Fantastic Fest, finally caught up to it at Denver Film Society. This was the first movie of a double feature I planned for the evening (the second film being The Visitor). I took my kids with (only kids in the entire place all night) and was amused by the reactions from other patrons ranging from obvious dismay and concern to “those are the luckiest kids ever” looks, which mostly came from the staff.
The movie was excellent, as I expected it would be. Great performances, especially from the trio of children. It was great to see Kelly McGillis show up too, as the nosy, concerned neighbor. Loved the ending, which was unexpected!
