Not terrible, and had the beginnings of an interesting back story for the character, but too many eye-rolling moments broke the suspension of disbelief that movies like this rely on to get you hooked. Once out of the film, it would take some time to reinvest in the story.
It seems difficult for Hollywood to make movies like this that don’t let the action overtake everything else.
