A creepy, atmospheric horror film with touches of Argento and Cthulu in it. Shot in the Ukraine with a lot of supporting characters played by non-actor Ukrainian villagers who learned and spoke their English dialogue phonetically, giving them oddly disturbing accents.
For a low-budget Russian film, it’s pretty well done. Though I question some of the editing choices, and things don’t always make sense immediately, it does tie together in the end.
