Viewing Notes

Third film of Stanley Film Festival, a Spectrevision production. I was looking forward to this because I love Vigalondo’s Timecrimes, but ultimately I was disappointed. The use of technology is pretty cool, but when that’s what everyone talks about, you know there’s something lacking elsewhere.

Elijah Wood was on hand to introduce the film and do a Q&A afterwards, but we didn’t stick around for it because we needed to get in line quickly for the next film (and Jay had to catch a shuttle to get to the 35mm screening of Eyes Wide Shut).

Also stars Sasha Grey, who even I know despite not watching porn. She’s beautiful and does a decent job here.

My first disappointment of the festival, but that’s ok. You can’t like them all!
