Viewing Notes

Capped off a long day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park with this early ‘50s noir that I’d had sitting in my Netflix queue for quite a while. Glad I finally pulled the trigger on it because it turned out to be pretty good. There’s some great lines tossed off throughout and some unusual plot twists that seem to be a nod to past noirs.

Payne makes for a pretty good lead. I’m sure the fact that he looks a bit like Jimmy Stewart helped him land roles.
