From the director of Kiltro and Mirageman, Mandrill once again pairs unlikely action star Marko Zaror with director Espinoza, this time for a retro-stylish bit of modern day action set in Chile and Peru.
A bit too slick at times, it’s still very well done and really nails the retro-chic it’s going for. There are some quirky, humorous parts that make you smile slyly, as well as a great nod to the outlandish seventies-era James Bond-style action hero in a movie within a movie that’s incredibly well done.
Definitely worth watching. Having not seen Kiltro or Mirageman, I now intend to give them a watch as well.
