Viewing Notes

A parody of the Giallo-style Italian thrillers of the ‘60s and ‘70s from the folks who brought you Manborg, The Editor is a pretty fun watch that overstays it’s welcome a bit. Maybe the length is an on-point nod to the often meandering Giallos it pokes fun at, but it hurt the film for me. It didn’t help that this was in a midnight slot and certain industry audience members were grindingly obnoxious. I probably need to rewatch this but I doubt my rating would be much different.

All that said, it’s a lot of fun and while the more experience you have with Giallos the more entertaining you’ll find it, I think anyone who isn’t familiar with the sub-genre will still have fun with this.
