I wasn’t aware that this was a Friedkin film until someone mentioned it on Twitter. I’ve seen parts of it before but never the entire movie. It’s a strange combination between a mainstream blockbuster thriller ala The Fugitive, and a smaller movie that doesn’t feel the need to get into a lot of exposition.
I liked it but I’m guessing it left too many unanswered questions about motive, etc. for the general public to fully embrace. I don’t know how well it did or didn’t do at the box office.
