Viewing Notes
Fifth and final film of Mile High Horror Film Festival, third for the day and a perfect movie for this time slot too! The director and producer were both on hand for a pre-screening Q&A that was irreverent and funny (though really the Q&A portion should have taken place after the film, not before).
I was happy that even though much of the film uses footage from the characters’ Go Pro cameras and other sources, they broke out of the found footage mold for establishing shots and other bits when needed.
Tension is established from almost the very beginning of the film and continues to build throughout. It really kept me on edge through the entire movie and there were some great jump-out-of-your-seat moments too. This was just a really well done, fun to watch, creature movie and definitely my best film of the fest. It was a good way to end our evening and the festival.
