Perhaps not as good as I was prepping for but I still liked this a lot. Gyllenhaal is pretty great. While watching it, I immediately began making comparisons to Sunset Boulevard, which it feels close to in terms of it’s social commentary on the pursuit of fame and Hollywood, or in this case Los Angeles as a whole.
