Viewing Notes

Finally watched my Blu of this. A great print of the director’s cut. This is such a cynical anti-western and almost certainly a commentary on the Vietnam War, but there are some great moments of humor and pathos as well. William Holden and Ernest Borgnine are great. This is probably one of Borgnine’s best roles.
