I watched this a long time ago and remember being confused. Given that I recently watched a few other Peckinpah movies I decided to give this one a long overdue rewatch. It’s still a muddled mess of a movie with a great but mostly underutilized cast. The slow motion scenes that worked so well in The Wild Bunch don’t hold up as great here (though the pool scene is still pretty cool).
