Overview
Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. I honestly liked this better than I was expecting to, even though there were some ridiculous parts. Dev Patel’s character in particular came off as cartoonish and flat, as did Jackman’s bad guy. But Die Antwoord were great and the robot itself was very well humanized.
