The movie itself was good enough but this premise of older people trying to regain their youth only to realize they must accept their place in the social fabric and be happy with having fucking kids is tired.
I just don’t relate well to this story arc. I’d NEVER want to go back and relive any part of my life and I certainly have no yearning to go hang out with hipsters to reclaim my “lost” youth. I didn’t lose it, I spent it doing fun (and not-so-fun) stuff. Everything I did, good or bad, made me who I am right now and I wouldn’t give that up for anything.
I look forward to what’s ahead and I’m enjoying living out my life.
