Viewing Notes

My first introduction to Sam Fuller way back in the ‘80s. It was great to revisit this even though I forgot how long it was. I always remembered the focus being on Mark Hamill but this is Lee Marvin’s show all the way.

Some scenes come off as a bit clunky now but I still love how this movie doesn’t shy away from picturing all the vagaries of war including it’s unsentimental moments.
