I often find Shakespearean adaptations difficult to watch and this one was no exception. It’s a beautifully shot film, well acted, but Macbeth’s incredibly rapid descent into madness is jarring and the scenes are often disjointed. For being one of Shakespeare’s shorter plays, the movie still clocks in at almost two hours.
