I guess I’ll have to watch the theatrical version to really comment on everything that’s different. Mainly it appears to be the obvious Rogue “rescue” portion but that wouldn’t fully account for the difference in run time.
Better than I recall the original being, so I’m guessing there must be some other changes too.
Days of Future Past is one of my favorite X-Men comic stories so there’s no way this adaptation was going to live up to my expectations. The brutality of the comics was so shocking and you just do not get that same sense of seriousness and violence in the film. It bugs me that they focus on Wolverine as well instead of Kitty Pryde.
