Viewing Notes

Good movie, pretty terrible “print” on Amazon Prime. The story focuses on an American and a British prisoner of war who escape and end up leading a group of civilian refugees across the Italian Alps into Switzerland to escape the Nazi takeover of Italy in 1943. This isn’t a traditional action war movie, but rather social realism. I liked the story quite a bit but the print had several obvious scenes cut out; an obvious VHS-wheel spinning noise noise marring the soundtrack and was generally washed out, blurry and out of focus for most of it.
