A mother and her 10-year old daughter are trapped in a forest. There is something in this forest. Something unlike anything they have heard before. Something that lurks in the darkness and it’s coming after them.

I really wanted this to be better. At its core it’s really about alcoholism, sacrifice and redemption; and the flashbacks depicting the mother-daughter relationship are honestly some of the best parts.
It does a good job building tension up until the actual horror portions kick in. It just didn’t feel cohesive or scary enough once the creature shows up.
