Viewing Notes

Very well done, though it stretches in places. One of the few modern war movies I’ve seen that works hard to present a nuanced situation where there are no right answers and everything done, or not done, has very real consequences. It also does a great job of presenting war as a complicated mix of military and political chains of command and decision making.

It was also great to see Barkhad Abdi from CAPTAIN PHILLIPS in another strong role. Interested to see what his part is in the new BLADERUNNER 2049 movie.
