Viewing Notes

Not nearly as bad as critics made it out to be, I had fun with most of it. It starts to fall apart around the time it starts to tie into the larger universe Universal is trying to create. Because of that, the tone is really inconsistent. The first part really has a good action/comedy vibe to it that could have easily been kept throughout. Instead it tries to veer into darker territory but without any convincing horror elements. Very uneven.

Still, I enjoyed it enough for a matinee. Interested to see where they take it after this, assuming they still do.
