Viewing Notes

Finally caught a movie with Bryan, one of my coworkers who lives nearby. For timing and convenience we ended up going to the Cinebarre nearby. Not my favorite theater, but our experience was decent this time so no complaints.

Definitely a flawed movie. It has some great moments but overall felt a little too disjointed to be really satisfying. Disappointing to me in the same way that FREE FIRE was. Given the director I just had higher expectations going in.

What I did love was the beautifully shot and scored scene near the opening that combined music with visual cues in a single take shot that was pretty amazing to watch unfold. If there had only been more moments like that it would have felt more cohesive.

Probably a movie I’ll revisit again at home to see if my opinion changes.
