Viewing Notes

The third act is a little talky but overall I really enjoyed this gothic melodrama. Joan Fontaine and Lawrence Olivier make a great leading couple; both had the ability to express a lot of emotion through their faces. Judith Anderson as Mrs. Danvers is so viciously evil, she’s amazing! Fun to see her in a minor role in SUSPICION as well.
