Viewing Notes

The Criterion edition of this was on sale so I finally bit the bullet and snagged it. The packaging is amazing and the print is gorgeous; easily the best this movie’s ever looked. Considering I grew up watching this on VHS to begin with, it’s quite a jump up in quality.

I had a problem with the sound on my system though that was causing some pretty serious echo/reverb in the front speakers. I had to pause the disc and pull up my AVR settings to sort it out. It was more noticeable because of the stereo sound on this disc, but I’m sure it was muddying the sound on other movies too. I thought dialogue sounded a bit echo-y on other films the last week or so but with surround and Atmos it wasn’t nearly as defined. Glad I tracked it down and fixed it though.
