Surprisingly not terrible. I’m mixed on the creature design. Once he was revealed he’s a lot less terrifying than he is beforehand. On the other hand I liked his GHOULIES-style face and their commitment to actually showing him.
I think this was directed by Lalo Shifrin’s son who must’ve called in a few favors. Lalo does the score, which helps to elevate the film and keep it cohesive. Lance Henricksen and Jeffrey Combs both show up for small but great roles (especially Combs who is great!).
