Viewing Notes
A more contemporary film from Chang Cheh, this one set in 1953 Seoul, just after the Korean war. Chiang once again plays an anti-hero and Ti Lung once again plays the guy that trouble finds. Not my favorite but there’s still some fun stuff in this, including some pretty despicable villains and plenty of fighting. It feels very much like a ‘70s era nihilistic film, right down to the ending.
