Viewing Notes

A great counterpoint to Coppola’s previous film, APOCALYPSE NOW, in that this is entirely shot on a sound stage with obvious artifice as an homage to films of the ‘50s during the golden age of Hollywood. Can’t blame him for wanting to be in complete control of every aspect of the environment given the hell he went through on APOCALYPSE NOW.

And Teri Garr did nude scenes for this! I’d probably have had a crush on Garr as a teenager if I’d seen this when it came out.
